The CEO of a sugar daddy website which pairs beautiful young women with rich men is offering to help women from restrictive abortion states gain access to abortion in neighboring states, reports Refinery 29. The offer by Brandon Wade of Seeking Arrangements comes after several states have enacted strict anti-abortion laws.
Afer discussing the new anti-abortion law with his girlfriend Zoe, who is from Alabama, the two of them decided to form a charity called Fight Against Poverty to offer assistance to women seeking an abortion.
“If lawmakers will not step in and help these desperate women, then I will,” he said, according to Elle. “Although Alabama’s law has yet to take effect, I’m working proactively with Zoe to launch a charity, Fight Against Poverty, so that when any state makes the decision to deny women the right to make choices about her body, we can help. We will provide women and families, who cannot afford to provide for themselves, travel out of their home state to access proper healthcare and to exercise their right, their choice.”
Since January, a dozen states have introduced legislation which bans abortion as soon as a fetal heartbeat is detected or restricts access to clinics that offer health services to women who seek abortions for a variety of reasons. Wade made his announcement in a video posted on You Tube.
Wade's Seeking Arrangement is a popular (and controversial) website that describes itself as connecting “Sugar Babies” to “Sugar Daddies or Mommas” in order to create “mutually beneficial relationships.”
Originally from Singapore, Wade moved to the United States to study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he earned a BS in Physics and Electrical Engineering as well as an MBA from the Sloan School of Management.
So far, there has not been any responses from either side of the abortion debate.
