"I'm speechless right now. I'm holding back tears," Wilson said in the acceptance speech for her Best R&B Album win. "I really want to say thank you to God, first and foremost, and my parents, who are in the building right now, and my sister. Earlier in the show, she performed in a Prince-like performance of her song "Hard Place." Starting alone in a spotlight, the stage brightened to reveal her band, which was joined backup singers and violinists. The set culminated up-and-coming artist shredding a guitar solo.
