A married couple has been found dead in their Sugarland, TX apartment near Houston, reports The Times of India.
Authorities suspect Srinivas Nakirekanti killed his wife in their drive way and then turned the gun on himself.
Shanti died of a gunshot wound to the head. Her husband was found dead with chest wounds and a handgun by his side.
The International Business Times reports Srinivas sent an email to a friend the same day, but police have discouraged him from revealing the contents during the active investigation.
Authorities say they have no suspects in this case and that neighbors are not in danger.
The couple’s 16-year old daughter was home asleep at the time of the incident, but said she did not hear anything. The couple also has a 21-year-old son who attends the University of Texas.
Shanti worked at United Airlines as a lead project architect and Srinivas was a director at Reliant Energy.
Sreenivas Nakirekanti is listed as a consultant in the energy industry, according to his LinkedIn page. He also served as president of the Houston, Texas-based Indo American Charity Foundation, which raises funds to support non-profit organizations in the Greater Houston area.
