Dr. David Dao was dragged off the United flight.

ASAM NEWS
What happened to Dr. David Dao stunned a nation. Security dragged him off a United Airlines flight in 2017 to make room for airline employees.
Today he spoke publicly for the first time about what happened to him.

He told ABC News he “just cried” when he saw video of himself screaming and being dragged off the plane. Dao suffered a concussion in the incident, but said he bears no anger or grudges to the security personnel who he said were just doing his job.

The Kentucky doctor also spoke of being touched by his daughter who took the podium before scores of media to speak out about the incident.

The incident left him with a concussion, two lost teeth and a broken nose. It ultimately led to a financial settlement with United and the firing of two Chicago aviation security officers, and spurred airlines to change some ways they do business.

"The most important thing is the accident turned out the positive way," Dao told ABC. "Airline business (is) willing to change policy."
