'We do," announced Dwayne Johnson and Lauren Hasian. |
In an Instagram post early Monday, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson announced that revealed he is now a married man
Johnson, 47, married longtime girlfriend 34-year-old Lauren Hashian in Hawaii over the weekend. “We do,” Johnson captioned the Instagram photo. “August 18, 2019. Hawaii. Pōmaikaʻi (blessed).”
Prior to the social media posts, Johnson kept the ceremony secret surprising most of Hollywood media hounds. They exchanged rings in a ceremony on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
The couple had been dating for 12 years, according to People Magazine. They first met in 2006 while Johnson was filming The Game Plan. Hashian is a singer and music producer.
Johnson and Hashian began a family prior to their nuptials in Hawaii. They have two daughters together, Jasmine, 3, and Tia, 1.
Johnson told Entertainment Tonight in 2018 that he often referred to Hashian as his wife even though they were not married.
“I just refer to her as my wife all the time. So a lot of people are like, ‘Oh, did you get married?'” Johnson said. “I’m like, ‘No. Easy. Don’t rush big daddy.'”
