Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Los Angeles (Advancing Justice-LA) is now officially named Asian Americans Advancing Justice Southern California (AJSOCAL).
“As part of the Advancing Justice affiliation, we have always served both Orange and Los Angeles counties, so this change simply better represents us,” said Connie Chung Joe, CEO of AJSOCAL.
With offices in Los Angeles and Orange counties, the name change recognizes the agency's presence and service in both counties. Los Angeles and Orange County represent the largest and third largest AANHPI communities in the mainland United States, according to the US Census. Combined, the two counties have almost 3 million AANHPI residents.
