One of the dramatic moments of the Olympic opening ceremonies Friday is guessing who will have the honor of lighting the Olympic torch. When the single spotlight turned on, it focused on Naomi Osaka.
Four time Grand Slam champion Osaka, who lives and trains in the United States, climbs up the stairs after taking the flame, which came from the last Olympic Games held in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

The 23-year old, whose mother is from Japan and father from Haiti, stands before the Olympic flame, which will remain lit for the duration of the Games.
