Vietnamese man found shot dead in his home

A VIETNAMESE IMMIGRANT was found shot to death in his home in a quiet cul-de-sac in San Jose, Calif.

Family members from Sacramento confirmed with NBC Bay Area later Thursday (June 21) the victim was Khanh Kieu, a Vietnamese man in his mid-50s and a father of three. They say he was a doctor who emigrated from Vietnam five years ago but was not working in the U.S.


Neighbors reported the sound of multiple gunshots around 1:30 p.m. Minutes later police arrived and found the victim fatally shot inside his home. Paramedics pronounced Kieu died at the scene.

Police have not released a motive and no suspects have been named in San Jose’s 13th homicide of the year.
