Rep. Adam Schiff, D-CA, had just wrapped up speaking during a webinar on COVID-19 resources sponsored by the nonprofit Pilipino Workers Center when suddenly someone could be heard in the background throwing f-bombs and racist slurs.

A shadowy looking man in a hoody and sunglasses appeared, interrupting a Filipina woman asking a question about unemployment benefits.

“Hey, b*tch, shut the f*ck up,” the man could be heard saying. “All immigrants should be deported…I am racist. I am misogynist. I f*cking hate immigrants.”

The coward disguised his voice using an electronic filter.

“Our Zoom feed was hacked by (someone) who shouted racial epithets on screen and taunted our members with the Nazi salute (“Sieg Heil!”) and pro-Trump messages,” Alex De Ocampo said of the Pilipino Workers Center in Los Angeles.

He urged everyone to share this video of this incident with the hashtag #racismisavirus. He also asked supporters to sign a petition demanding Attorney General Bill Barr hold perpetrators of hate crimes accountable.

Zoom urges anyone holding a meeting using its platform to protect it from intruders by requiring a passport and approval from a moderator to enter the meeting.
