The commercial for Kamala Harris that never aired: The Antidote to Trump

Kamala Harris withdrew from the presidential campaign Tuesday (Dec. 3), the day before this commercial that was supposed to air in Iowa.

A PAC, People Standing Strong, supporting Harris had signed a $1-million contract to begin running the commercial today (Dec. 4). The Indian American senator, 54, was lagging far behind in Iowa and it was hoped that the commercial would help her campaign. The contract was cancelled after Harris' announcement.

In her announcement Tuesday, Harris said, "I'm not a billionaire," possibly referring to New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg's late entry into the presidential primary fray and spendng $30 million of his own fortune in the first week as a candidate, surpassing Harris in some of the national polls.

“My campaign for president simply doesn’t have the financial resources we need to continue,” added Harris.
