Kevin Redrico
THE SEARCH for a Filipino/American singer, a resident of Vallejo, Calif., ended tragically.

Kevin Redrico, 23, has been missing since April 5. His body was found April 29 in Vallejo, north of San Francisco.

“It is a heavy heart that I share these news with you: Kevin Redrico — a loving son and brother, gifted musician and actor, warm and endearing friend — has passed away on April 5, 2017,” wrote Jonathan Redrico, Kevin’s brother, on a social media posting. “After a tireless month of wondering, waiting, searching, and hoping, it is a miracle that we finally found him.”

His parents thought he was asleep, but for some reason, Redrico left his Vallejo home the evening of Aprl 4 or early morning of April 5. Redrico was last seen the next day at 9 a.m. a witness saw Redrico leaving his car and walking southbound on 1898 Park Road in the neighboring city of Benicia.

The Sheriff's Office, California Highway Patrol, U.S. Coast Guar, along with friends and family, conducted a massive search for the missing man but came up empty.

Authorities would not reveal further details about the cause of death and the Solano County Coroner will have to perform an autopsy.
Kevin Redrico was a student at San Jose State University. His friends and family remember him for his passion for the arts and music, and was even a contestant on NBC’s The Sing Off, with his a cappella group, the San Fran Six, for which he acted as group's musical arranger.
Jonathan Redrico continued his post on Facebook:

"Throughout his entire life, Kevin has had the support of countless friends and family that form a compassionate and strong community. If there was one beautiful moment to come out of this storm, it would be in seeing this community come together to help bring Kevin back home. Our family truly thanks each and every person who helped search for him on land and water, helped me with coordinating as best a rescue effort as we could, and provided food and resources for our search teams. We also want to give thanks to those who have donated generously toward the rescue fund drive for Kevin and to those who have given their time to support my family emotionally."

The family plans to hold a celebration of Kevin's life and a vigil and funeral mass but no details have been been announced yet.
