Sorry to say, that Tim Atlas, a Filipino/American from San Jose, CA didn't get pass the Knockout rounds of the popular reality show, The Voice.
He gave it his all after being rescued by Team Pharrell during the Battle round. He is a better singer but in The Voice, it matters how well you perform at that particular moment. And at that moment, last Sunday, he performed really well, but not good enough to beat his competition.
This is where Asian/America gets to show its purported social media power!
Amy, a Filipina/American songstress from New Jersey is in the Top 20 competing in the Live Playoff rounds of the reality TV singing competition The Voice. Up to now, it has been the judges winnowing down the contestants to the final 20. In some eyes, she is among the top 5 favorites.
Now, viewers get to express their preferences via social media. The judges and some regular reviewers really like Vachal and think she could win the whole thing. However, her low-key soft-voiced style normally doesn't win these audience-participation contests. Normally, its the big voice, the soaring notes, the raw, emotion-emoting facial expressions and body language that grab the viewers.
Even if she is the better singer, her soft, sweet subtlety may be her undoing unless she can find the energy to unleash the diva within her.
That's where all of us come in. If you want Amy to win one of the most viewed programs this season and make an impact on pop-America - All you Tweeters, or if you prefer texting: DO YOUR THING!
