AAPI celebrities celebrate Biden victory

Figures in the entertainment industry joined in with the rest of America in celebrating the victory of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris as the Democratic candidates garnered enough electoral votes to claim the Presidency and Vice Presidency, respectively, of the United States.

Celebrities risked their careers by making endorsing the Biden and Harris ticket.

Mindy Kaling, above, who recorded several videos with Harris voiced what many South Asians told their children, "She looks like us."

Action superstar Dwayne Johnson took heat from Trump supporters for his endorsement for the Democrat's nominees for President and Vice President. Already one of the top celebrity users of social media, the controversy ended up with the Samoan American getting more followers.

Cookbook author and international supermodel Chrissy Teigen wanted to celebrate so bad she went out to join the street celebrations with her husband John Legend by sitting atop their vehicle and waving to the celebrants.

Chloe Bennet (Agents of S.H.I.E.LD.) brought together AAPI actors and artists to create a new image of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in Hollywood.

Padma Lakshmi, host of Top Chef, used her Twitter account to deliver her signature farewell to departing contestants. "Donald Trump, please pack you knives and go!"
