IMMIGRANTS: We are Them. They are Us.
Do you have a story about your experience as an immigrant? Film Lab wants to hear from you but you only have a few days to submit your story. Film Lab is compiling a collection of short stories showcasing our shared humanity and our common immigrant roots. After all, unless you’re descended from one of the Native American tribes, you are or came from immigrants to the United States. To that end, we invite you to submit a short story of no more than 2 pages (preferably 1 page), for inclusion.
Your story can be about your own personal experience as an immigrant or it can be about your personal interactions or observations of someone or something having to do with immigration. We are specifically looking for stories that focus on shared humanity.
To submit, or for more information, please email filmlabproductions@film-lab.org. See https://youtu.be/iL8Bc0NE2kQ for submission guidelines. Please note: we would also welcome stories from Native Americans who, too often, are made to feel like immigrants in their own country! Stories must be double spaced, 12 pt font or greater and no more than two pages. They can have been published before, however, the author must have all rights to the story. Stories must be non-fiction, based on personal experience.
By submitting, authors grant the Film Lab a non-revocable, non-exclusive license to use, display, publish, promote, and create derivative works based on the story.

The project exists in three parts: I. The Stories: Collection and Anthology in Written Form II. Live Theatre and Public Workshops III. Video/Online and Television Programming Content We are specifically looking for stories that focus on shared humanity.
