A tribute to long-time politician Norman Mineta opened CAAMFest.

HALFWAY through its two-week treasure trove of films, videos, presentations, galas and awards, CAAMFest today (May 18) shifts to Oakland for a night of fist-pumping hip-hop, identity rap and dancing.

Listen to the raps from some of today's up-and-coming AAPI rappers Ruby Ibarra, Lyrics Born and G Yamazawa. (Details below)

CAAMFest highlights of the first week included a documentary about long-time politician Norman Mineta, a conversation with director Jon M. Chu and a tribute to actress Pei Pei Chang.
