TGIF Feature: Meghan Markle delights Filipino fans by speaking Tagalog

WELL! Who would have thought that Meghan Markle, princess-to-be, knew how to speak some Tagalog, a Filipino dialect.

While greeting a line of fans in Edinburgh, a couple identified themselves as Filipinos who were celebrating their anniversary. They received congnratulations from Markle and as moved down the line of onlookers, Markle thanked them in Tagalog. She said, "Salamat, po." (Thank you.)

But was really impressive was that she knew to also say "po," a term of respect that one adds on to a greeting or an answer to express respect for  someone older than you.

Markle, an American actress, is engaged to Prince Harry. They plan to wed this spring.
