Daniel Dae Kim can only hope what Hollywood took away, it will give back.
Variety reports the former Hawaii Five-O star is in talks to take over the role abandoned by Ed Skrein in Liongate’s reboot of Hellboy.
How ironic that would be if that happens.
It was just a few months ago that Kim along with Grace Park left their co-starring roles after the network refused to give them paychecks comparable to castmates Alex O’Loughlin and Scott Caan.
It was Skrein of Games of Thrones’ fame who figuratively walked off the set of Hellboy rather than play a whitewashed role.

“I accepted the role unaware that the character in the original comics was of mixed Asian heritage,” HuffPost reported Skrein said on Twitter at the time. “There has been intense conversation since that announcement, and I must do what I feel is right.”
"Representation of ethic diversity is important," he continued in his statement ... "It is our responsibility to make moral decisions in difficult times and to give voice to inclusivity. It is my hope that one day these discussions will be less necessary and that we can help make equal representation in the Arts a reality."
Skrein's action was highly praised by others in the entertainment industry, hoping that it would set a precedent.
Kim and Park also did what they felt were right when they left their hit show.
